We are tracking single or multiple fluorescent foci in 3D over time with respect to the perimeter or center of a weakly fluorescent sphere (the cell nucleus). IMARIS in combination with a module written in MATLAB helped us viewing and analyzing efficiently the biological sample.

The FMI Imaging and Microscopy Core Facility maintains high-end imaging systems suitable for investigation and quantification of all kinds of sample volumes, shapes, and densities, and also the locations, integrations and dynamics of molecules, organelles and cells. In the field of neurobiology, epigenetics and growth control a broad range of applications are used (e.g. 2D and 3D Stitching, Tracing, Tracking). We help in-house scientists and their collaborations in all experiments involving the use of microscopy and imaging software. We have a number of commercial software available to use and we often add special functionalities to Imaris (Imaris XT) by adding modules to match exactly the scientists needs.
